SAAFE House provides services to men, women, and children who have been victims of family violence and sexual assault. Though, the shelters are specifically for women and children only. SAAFE House’s services include crisis intervention, legal and medical advocacy, information and referrals, emergency lodging and transportation, support services for secondary victims, safety planning, and education and prevention. SAAFE serves Walker, Polk, and Trinity Counties.
Included in this list are shelters and local programs that provide support, counseling, safety planning, and other services to victims of abuse. If you cannot get help from the organization nearest you, you might want to try calling one in a neighboring county. (Have a suggestion or correction? Contact us!)
Please note that we list the organizations by the town, city or county where the office is located – however, many offices serve multiple towns or counties. You can click the “View All” to look through the complete list of organizations.
