Childhelp

Childhelp provides services to victims and survivors of child abuse. Childhelp focuses efforts on prevention, intervention, treatment, and community outreach. Childhelp’s prevention programs work with children, families, and communities to provide long-term education and increase awareness of abuse and neglect. The intervention programs protect children from danger along several steps of crisis resolution. Childhelp’s treatment programs provide treatment to severely abused, neglected, and at-risk children. The Center works to prevent crimes against children while connecting families of the missing and exploited to important resources. They provide support, referrals to local agencies, family safety planning, and assistance for individuals reporting a child experiencing abuse or neglect.
Justice for Children
URL: https://justiceforchildren.org/ Justice for Children provides a full range of advocacy and services for abused and neglected children, including pro-bono legal advocacy, public policy monitoring, guidance through a complex child protective system, professional referrals, mental health services, court watch, research, education, and emotional support. Justice for Children’s Call Center helps when the child protection system fails to protect a child. They offer information, guidance and assistance to adults who are trying to keep the child safe. Their Pro Bono Legal program provides free legal help when it appears that a court or agency will return a child to an abusive situation. The Court Watch program sends observers to courts in cases where a known abuser might be on the verge of obtaining custody or unsupervised visitation. Contact Justice for Children online here.

Parents for Megan’s Law, Inc. is a national community and victim’s rights organization dedicated to the prevention and treatment of childhood sexual abuse through the provision of education, advocacy, counseling, policy and legislative support services. They are a certified Rape Crisis Center and staff the National Megan’s Law Hotline and the National Sex Offender Registration Tips Program.
