Included in this list are organizations that provide free or low-cost legal services to victims and survivors of abuse, as well as to others who qualify. Even if the organization does not have a lawyer available to represent you in court, you may want to ask if there is a lawyer with whom you can consult to obtain advice. We list the organizations by the county where the office is located, but many offices serve multiple counties. We indicate the “counties served” whenever possible. The Center for Victim and Human Rights (CVHR) is the only nonprofit legal services organization in Indiana specifically designed to help victims of crime and human rights abuses. They assist in cases such as: Protection Orders, Humanitarian Immigration Relief, Crime Victim Rights Enforcement, Paternity / Child Custody, and Title IX. Those seeking legal assistance may complete an intake form though the Contact section within the website.
