Through These Doors, formerly the Family Crisis Shelter, is a resource center serving victims and survivors of domestic abuse, dating violence, human trafficking, and elder abuse. Services include: a 24-hour helpline, a 16-bed temporary shelter, transitional housing assistance, support groups, court advocacy, assistance with protective orders, safety planning, and more. The 24-hour helpline is answered by an answering service and an advocate will return the call from a blocked or restricted number within 15 minutes. Interpretation is available. Court advocacy is available at their three outreach offices by calling: Greater Portland (207)-874-8512, Midcoast Region (207 721-0199, Lakes Region (207) 647-8501. Serving Cumberland County.
