El Refugio (ERI) operates the Casa Carmel Shelter for battered women/men and their children, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Other services include: rapid re-housing assistance for participants, counseling and advocacy services. All services available in English and Spanish. Serving Grant county.

Guadalupe County Domestic Violence Responders provides resources for domestic violence victims, coordinates activities and services, assists with financial assistance, finds low income housing, files temporary restraining orders, and can accompany the victims to court if necessary.
