Offers confidential counseling and support services in moments of crisis and general counseling by telephone. Counseling is offered on topics such as sexual assault, custody conflicts, divorce, child abuse, domestic violence, mental health, unemployment, and more.
Help Center for Rape Victims (CAVV in Spanish)

Public services center of the Department of Health. The program helps survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence by providing and coordinating immediate medical and psychosocial services. The services include: a 24-hour helpline; in-person, phone, and virtual counseling; medical, legal and social services advocacy; individual and group therapy; crisis intervention; referrals; workshops; and more. The program has offices located in San Juan (central), Arecibo, Caguas, Fajardo, Ponce, and Mayagüez. Serving all of Puerto Rico, including Vieques and Culebra.

Office of the Women’s Advocate (OPM)

The mission of the OPM is to ensure the full development of women, promote equality and equity, eradicate all forms of discrimination and violence, educate the community, and promote and enforce the public policies that guarantee women’s human rights. Its helpline for victims of domestic violence is available 24 hours a day.

CPM is a coalition of organizations and individuals working on behalf of all diversities of women who face violence of any kind. They provide support, technical assistance, and education to service organizations to increase the capacity of their programs to address all forms of gender-based violence. They also demand changes in public policy to change the conversation about domestic and sexual violence in Puerto Rico. CPM’s website has a directory of service providers for survivors.
