Laws current as of September 18, 2024 Can I get temporary custody as a part of an order of protection against the other parent?
If you file for an order of protection against the other parent the judge can include temporary custody if you ask for it in your petition. This temporary custody order lasts for as long as the order of protection is in effect.1
