Included in this list are organizations that provide free or low-cost legal services to victims and survivors of abuse, as well as to others who qualify. Even if the organization does not have a lawyer available to represent you in court, you may want to ask if there is a lawyer with whom you can consult to obtain advice. We list the organizations by the county where the office is located, but many offices serve multiple counties. We indicate the “counties served” whenever possible. Colorado Legal Services (CLS) provides free legal services in civil matters to eligible low-income Coloradans and seniors. All applicants must complete an intake process, and may apply online or at one of the 13 offices. CLS may provide help in the following areas: protection orders, divorce, custody, child support, landlord/tenant issues, Medicaid and Medicare issues, public and government benefits, living wills, and others. In addition, they can assist with immigration applications for victims of various crimes, including domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking by calling their Survivors Unit Project at (303) 866-9396. This office serves Archuleta, Dolores, Hinsdale, La Plata, Montezuma, Ouray, San Juan, and San Miguel counties, and the Ute Mountain Ute and Southern Ute reservations.

Bringing Justice Home provides free legal services in civil legal matters to eligible low-income survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking. Services provided in the following areas: legal information, legal advice, help with court proceedings, protection order assistance, divorce/legal separation, custody/paternity, and other civil matters. Serving Larimer and Weld counties with brief advice, brief services, and legal representation. Legal advice and brief legal services are also available remotely via telephone or video conferencing to Moffat, Routt, Jackson and Grand Counties.
