The YWCA of Greater Portland is part of the YWCA’s Domestic Violence program it provides services to victims and survivors of domestic violence. The YWCA of Greater Portland has three different shelters/resource centers: The Gateway Center, Home Forward, and the Yolanda Project. The Yolanda Project assists survivors who are at risk of becoming homeless to obtain safe, stable housing for themselves and their family. The program offers specialized housing assistance for survivors from The Gateway Center and Home Forward. The Yolanda Project services also include: housing advocacy, information on legal housing rights, and administration of rapid re-housing and eviction prevention grants. The Gateway Center’s services include: safety planning, emergency housing and housing support, rent assistance/motel vouchers, housing referrals and address confidentiality programs, basic needs (clothing, food, hygiene supplies, etc.), court advocacy, and support. Home Forward’s services include housing services. The YWCA of Greater Portland serves Multnomah County.
