Sexual Trauma Services of the Midlands (STSM) offers 24-hour crisis intervention through hotline and hospital response, crisis counseling, individual short-term counseling, group counseling, personal advocacy, and legal advocacy to survivors of sexual assault and abuse and education about sexual trauma issues to the Midlands. STSM also provides the survivor with emotional support and accompaniment throughout the criminal justice proceedings including (but not limited to) assisting the survivor in filing a police report, court accompaniment, assisting survivors with their Victim Impact Statements, and contacting law enforcement on behalf of survivor with survivor’s consent. These services are all confidential and free of charge. Serving Richland, Lexington, Newberry and Sumter counties.

Sistercare, Inc. offer: HART Program – Sistercare’s Hospital Accompaniment Response Team (HART) is a program that was designed to address the non-medical needs of patients who are presenting with injuries from intimate partner violence; Children’s Counseling Services; Community Support Groups and Individual Counseling Services; Career Development Center; Teen Outreach Program; Community Education and Training; Court Advocacy; Emergency Shelters; 24 Hour Crisis/Service Line; Transitional Housing; Rural Outreach Program. Sistercare offers programs of services for survivors of domestic violence and their children residing in Richland, Lexington, Fairfield, Newberry and Kershaw counties in South Carolina.
