The Red Cliff Family Violence Prevention Program provides advocacy for victims of domestic violence. Advocacy includes accompanying clients to legal hearings and assistance with domestic violence restraining orders and/or harassment injunctions. Victims are given information regarding their rights as crime victims. Also, provides advocacy, supportive counseling, information, and referral for adults who are in violent relationships with a spouse or partner. The Family Violence Prevention Program provides referral to shelters for women and their children and also provides emergency financial support for those not eligible for other economic support programs. Transportation may be provided based on the needs of the victims. The Family Violence Prevention Program is responsible for providing information to the community about domestic violence and the resources available for victims.
