The Family Crisis Center (FCC) provides safety and advocacy to victims of intimate partner violence in South Central Iowa. Services include: 24-hour crisis line, assistance with protection orders, safety planning, assistance with short- and long-term housing, counseling, legal advocacy, help changing/adding locks to doors and windows, assistance with understanding immigration laws as they relate to domestic violence, and more. The FCC also provides safe housing in scattered sites throughout its service area. Serving Appanoose, Davis, Jasper, Jefferson, Keokuk, Lucas, Mahaska, Marion, Monroe, Poweshiek, Wapello, and Wayne counties.

The Domestic/Sexual Assault Outreach Center (DSAOC) is a crisis-based shelter program serving victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, trafficking, stalking, and violent crimes. Services include: 24-hour crisis line, counseling, court/medical/child advocacy, safety planning, case management, basic needs, support groups, activities, transportation, housing opportunities, and more. Services within the shelter are all free of charge, confidential, and support the survivor’s ability to once again control their own life. Serving Boone, Butler, Cerro Gordo, Floyd, Franklin, Greene, Grundy, Hamilton, Hancock, Hardin, Humboldt, Kossuth, Marshall, Mitchell, Story, Tama, Webster, Winnebago, Worth, and Wright counties.

Riverview Center offers free and confidential services for survivors of sexual violence in 14 counties of Northeast Iowa. Services include: a 24-hour crisis hotline, legal/medical/social service advocacy, counseling, trauma-informed therapy, transition and basic needs assistance, and more. This office of Riverview Center offers services in Spanish and serves Allamakee, Chickasaw, North Clayton, Howard, North Fayette, and Winneshiek counties.

The mission of the Ponca Tribe of Nebraska’s Domestic Violence Program is to assist Native American victims of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, elder abuse, and human trafficking. Services are available to individuals enrolled in a federally recognized tribe, those who have children who are enrolled members, or have a partner who is an enrolled member. Their services include: advocacy, safety planning, shelter referral, transportation, support groups, counseling referral, protection orders, phone cards, and more. The service area includes Woodbury County in Iowa, in addition to 14 counties across Nebraska and South Dakota.

SafePlace, formerly the Council on Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence, offers safety, advocacy, and support to victims of domestic violence and their children. Services include: a 24-hour crisis line, safe shelter, legal/medical advocacy, safety planning, case management, assistance with victim compensation, and more. Food, bedding, clothing, and other essentials are provided to those staying in the shelter. SafePlace can also help individuals or families who are at risk of being homeless due to domestic violence, helping them to access safe and affordable housing. Sign language and other interpreters are available. They provide outreach services for Plymouth and Woodbury counties. SafePlace offers shelter services for 19 counties in Iowa: Buena Vista, Calhoun, Carroll, Cherokee, Clay, Crawford, Dickinson, Emmet, Ida, Lyon, Monona, O’Brien, Osceola, Palo Alto, Plymouth, Pocahontas, Sac, Sioux, and Woodbury.
