We list the organizations by the county where the office is located, but many offices serve multiple counties. You can click “View All” to look through the complete list of organizations. Community Crisis Center provides comprehensive services to individuals and families in crisis due to domestic violence, sexual assault, or economic difficulties. Services include: a 24-hour hotline, temporary shelter, individual and group counseling, support groups, children’s services, safety planning, medical and legal advocacy, financial assistance, prevention education, and more.

Mutual Ground serves families and individuals impacted by domestic violence, sexual violence, and substance use disorders. Services include: 24-hour hotlines, crisis intervention, safety planning, counseling for adults and children, emergency shelter, legal and medical advocacy, help with protective orders, a parenting program in English and Spanish, and more. Counseling services are available in Aurora, Batavia, and Yorkville. Legal advocacy services are available by phone and in person; for Kane or Kendall County protective orders visit the Mutual Ground offices located in those county courthouses. Mutual Ground is committed to being a safe and affirming place for LGBTQIA+ individuals.

Provides free and confidential services to domestic violence survivors and their families. Services include: a 24-hour hotline, emergency shelter, individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, court advocacy, case management, information and referrals, online chat, and more. Harbor House operates shelters in Kankakee and Iroquois counties for survivors, their children, and their pets. All services are free and confidential.
