Free and confidential services for victims of domestic violence and their children. This program offers: shelter; outreach; advocacy; case management; Family Offense Petition preparation; court accompaniment; and educational and support groups. Services may be accessed via our 24-hour domestic violence hotline, appointments with an Advocate, or requesting services at our main office.

Cattaraugus Community Action’s offers the following services: Domestic Violence Residential Program provides temporary housing for domestic violence victims and their children; Domestic Violence Non-Residential Program offers a 24-Hour Hotline, counseling, advocacy, court accompaniment, and other support services to victims such as support group counseling, children’s program. We have a rape crisis program that offers a 24-Hour Hotline, counseling, advocacy, court accompaniment, prevention education, partnerships with medical providers, support groups for adults and children (serving Allegany and Cattaraugus Counties). We have a crime victim program that provides advocacy, counseling, court accompaniment, plus victim compensation claims assistance through the New York State Office of Victim Services (serving Allegany and Cattaraugus Counties). CAP’s domestic violence program assist survivors and their children. Services include: a 24-hour hotline, temporary shelter, transitional housing assistance, advocacy, safety planning, counseling, support group, children’s group, safe visitation and exchange, assistance with victim compensation claims, and more. CAP also offers emergency services such as food, emergency transportation assistance, and prescription assistance, and responds to a wide array of crisis situations.

In Jamestown, The Salvation Army operates the Anew Center, a domestic violence and rape crisis program. The center operates a shelter, provides case management to domestic violence survivors and sexual assault victims, has a 24- hour hotline, accompany victims to court, and provide child and family outreach and counseling. The Anew Center is the only domestic violence and rape crisis program in Chautauqua County.

Liberty Resources Help Restore Hope Center offers crisis support, emergency housing, and legal and medical advocacy for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.

STOP Domestic Violence is a NYS certified program assisting victims of domestic violence, 24 hours a day. Safe Against Violence offers comprehensive services for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and other crimes. Services include safe, confidential shelter for domestic violence victims and their families, short term crisis and supportive counseling, medical and legal advocacy and accompaniment, information and referrals, and a 24/7 confidential hotline. Grace Smith House is a private not-for-profit domestic violence agency, which provides both residential and non-residential services to victims of domestic violence and their children. Our services include advocacy with the legal system and the Department of Social Services, assistance with housing and employment issues and referrals to legal, medical and mental health resources. Haven House provides safe housing, a crisis hotline, supportive counseling, advocacy, and support groups for victims of domestic violence in Buffalo and Erie County, NY. We also seek to build awareness of and educate the community about domestic violence. Services and programs include Emergency Services; Counseling, Advocacy, & Support Groups; Help/Advocacy for crime victims. Survivors can also meet with an Economic Empowerment Specialist who can assist survivors with credit issues, education, training, employment, budgeting, housing and anything else necessary to become financially independent.

Catholic Charities of Herkimer County’s Domestic Violence Program offers crisis and supportive services to victims of domestic violence and their children. Services include: safe, temporary shelter for battered women and children, supportive counseling; support, accompaniment and advocacy through legal, medical, housing and social services systems. We provide support group activities as well as information and referral.

Provides services to victims/survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and child abuse in Jefferson County. Services include: a 24-hour hotline, safe shelter, counseling, help with custody and protection orders, court accompaniment, and more.

The Lewis County Opportunities Victim Services program provides confidential services to crime victims at no charge, with special emphasis on domestic violence and sexual violence. Our services include 1) Temporary, emergency shelter. Residents receive counseling, legal and personal advocacy, information and referrals and awareness education. 2) Medical Crisis Intervention, available 24/7. An advocate will accompany the survivor to the hospital to be examined. 3) Crisis Therapy to victims of domestic violence, rape, incest, stalking, and sexual assault/abuse and their children. 4) Supportive Counseling for victims their parents, family and spouses. 5) Support Groups. 6) Advocacy - Advocates are available to link victims to legal resources relating to domestic violence and sexual assault/abuse, accompany victims to court, the District Attorney’s office, law enforcement agencies, the hospital, and assist victims in obtaining orders of protection. Advocates also assist victims and their children in obtaining services from other human service agencies. 7) Information and Referrals. 8) Help with filing Crime Victims Compensation Services claims. 9) Safe Pet Services - shelter is available for up to two companion animals (dogs and/or cats) to make it possible for a victim to leave an abusive relationship and not worry about taking his/her pets.

Provides confidential assistance to victims of domestic violence in Livingston County, New York, including 24-Hour Hotline Services; 24-Hour Safe Housing; Rape Crisis Service; Support and Assistance in Decision Making; Advocacy and Referrals: Legal, Medical, Housing, Counseling, and Social Services; Information and Education: Spouse Abuse, Child Abuse, Family Violence, Self-Esteem, and Parenting; Peer Support Groups; and Individual Counseling.

Willow Center provides a full-continuum of free and confidential services, including: 24/7 Crisis and Support Hotline; Short-term Counseling; Court Accompaniment; 49-bed Emergency Shelter; Children’s Programming; Prevention Education & Training. Our Mission is to prevent domestic violence and ensure every survivor has access to the services and supports needed along the journey to a safe and empowered life.

Vera House is a comprehensive domestic and sexual violence service agency providing shelter, advocacy, and counseling services for women, children & men, education and prevention programs and community coordination. Our programs and services include a 24-hour crisis & support line, Advocacy Program, Alternatives to Domestic Violence Program, Community/Youth Education Program, Emergency Shelter, Envisioning Change & Healthy Options for Families (ECHO), New Directions Rape Crisis & Sexual Assault Services, Pet Foster Care Program, the Syracuse Area Domestic & Sexual Violence Coalition, Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Program, Volunteer Program, and Youth Counseling Services.

Oswego County Opportunities provides crisis intervention and support for victims of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking or other violent crimes; people experiencing a housing crisis or difficulty meeting basic needs or other type of crisis. The Services to Aid Families program (SAF) provides residential and non-residential services to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, elder abuse and stalking as well as crime victims.

The Violence Intervention Program (VIP) provides free, comprehensive support services to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and violent crimes. We offer the following completely confidential services: 24-hour crisis hotline; Individual and group counseling; Advocacy and legal/medical accompaniment; Education to schools and community groups; Crime victims compensation claims assistance; Safe housing, domestic violence shelter; Referrals to supportive services; Rape crisis services; Support groups; and Prevention education.

Provides free, confidential services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault including: legal advocacy and court accompaniment; personal advocacy (with CPS, DSS, etc.); accompaniment during hospital rape exams; support groups for victims and their children; shelter; and more.

The Unity House Law Project provides free legal consultation and representation to victims of domestic violence. The Law Project staff provides assistance in preparing legal documents, court accompaniment, safety planning and emotional support in addition to direct representation. The YWCA domestic violence program offers safe shelter, counseling, advocacy, support groups, case management, children’s services and post-shelter services to victims of domestic violence.

We offer support to victims of domestic violence and their families. Services include a 24-hour hotline, crisis intervention, safety planning, counseling, advocacy (including legal advocacy), a support group, transportation, referral to other service agencies, outreach and community education. Catholic Charities also provides the only domestic violence safe dwelling in Schoharie County for victims of domestic violence and their minor children. In addition, advocacy and support services are offered to victims of domestic violence to assist them in obtaining their goals of finding affordable and safe housing, obtaining employment or education, and remaining free from abuse.

The following services are offered: crisis counseling/intervention; emotional support - short-term individual counseling; support group for women affected by domestic violence; advocacy with orders of protection, pressing charges, working with the police and help in obtaining emergency assistance from the department of social services, the office of victim services, and other community programs. advocates are available to accompany a victim to the hospital, police station, lawyer’s appointment, court proceeding, department of social services, and more; information and referrals; children/youth program, including a weekly recreational/support group for children and individual counseling, mentoring, and child recreation; transportation; safe housing - emergency, temporary shelter for domestic violence victims; sexual assault nurse examiners - specially trained medical professionals providing compassionate, knowledgeable assistance to a victim of a sexual assault.

The Net Domestic Violence Services provides a 24-hour crisis hotline; Support groups; The Net Shelter & Domestic Abuse Program, providing a secure, temporary shelter where victims and their children can safely stay, participate in support groups and work on securing safe living conditions permanently; and transitional housing to victims and helps them get started in a new home. We help people sort out details like finances, jobs and child care so they can successfully rebuild their lives. We also provide legal advocacy for crime victims.

Offers services to all crime victims, include domestic violence and sexual assault. Services are free and confidential and include: Crisis Intervention and Support; Shelter; Educational and Support Groups; and Counseling and Advocacy. We primarily serve residents of Tioga County.

It is the mission of the Advocacy Center to increase the safety and reduce the trauma for those who have been impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, rape and child sexual abuse. Family Counseling Service of the Finger Lakes provides individual and family trauma therapy and help with OVS Victim Compensation for victims of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault in Ontario, Wayne, Seneca and Yates counties.
