Alpha House is a safe haven for victims of domestic violence and their children in western Kern County. Services include: a 24-hour hotline, case management, mentoring programs, emergency shelter for women and their children, prevention education, employment assistance, and more.

The Open Door Network helps those affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, human trafficking, and homelessness. Services include: a 24-hour hotline, case management, emergency shelter, individual and group counseling for adults and children, a housing program, and more. Their Child Abuse Treatment Team supports children up to age 17 who have experienced severe trauma. Victim services and therapy services are provided at this location.

The Sexual Assault Response Team offers: accompaniment for meetings with law enforcement, emergency room visits, and legal meetings; peer counseling; therapy; education programs; and personal safety and self-defense programs.

Services include: emergency shelter for victims and their children, counseling, assistance with temporary restraining orders, court accompaniment, teen dating violence program, and support with sexual assault forensic exam. The Program seeks to make the criminal justice system more understandable, accessible and responsive to the concerns of victims and witnesses. Services include: orientation to the criminal justice system, case status information, restitution assistance, referrals to community resources, emergency assistance, applying for compensation for crime-related expenses, and court accompaniment. The Program has specially trained advocates to assist Spanish-speaking victims.
