Victim advocates offer services to victims and witnesses of all types of crimes occurring in Placer County. Program services are provided free of charge and there is no legal citizenship requirement to receive assistance. Services include: referrals for U-visas in domestic violence and sexual abuse cases, counseling referrals, court accompaniment and support, crisis intervention, assistance with application for crime victims’ compensation, witness notification, and more.

The Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) provides immediate medical care, victim advocacy, and criminal justice services for victims of sexual assault in Placer County. Services include: sexual assault forensic exams, crisis intervention, emotional support, referrals, and information. Forensic exams are conducted in a private room at Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital or Sutter Roseville Medical Center.

In 2019, four non-profit social service organizations serving California and Nevada — Family Resource Center of Truckee, North Tahoe Family Resource Center, Tahoe SAFE Alliance, and Project MANA — united to form Sierra Community House. With four offices located in Kings Beach, Truckee, and Incline Village, Sierra Community House offers a range of services that help individuals and families in the North Tahoe/Truckee communities. Services include: crisis intervention and family support for victims of domestic/intimate partner violence, sexual assault, and child abuse; community engagement and prevention; hunger relief; and mediation and legal assistance.
