Building Futures helps individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness and domestic violence. Their domestic violence services are for survivors of all gender identities and include: a 24-hour hotline, confidential shelter, support groups and counseling, and referrals for legal and other services. The shelter offers residents three daily meals, transportation assistance, mental health counseling and therapy, referrals to legal and medical services, children’s programs, and more. Building Futures also offers permanent apartments to formerly homeless survivors of domestic violence with deep needs, in addition to other housing programs for persons experiencing homelessness.

Narika provides services to domestic violence survivors in a culturally sensitive manner and in multiple languages. The mission of Waymakers, formerly Community Service Programs, is to build safer communities by helping individuals make their way through conflict and crisis to a place of strength and stability. Empower Yolo provides services to those affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, human trafficking, and child abuse. Services include: a 24- hour hotline; emergency shelter; rapid rehousing; transitional housing; counseling; support groups in English and Spanish; child abuse treatment program; financial coaching; youth programs; batterers’ intervention program; and more. Legal services include: a domestic violence restraining order clinic; referrals for abused immigrants who may qualify for benefits; assistance filing for victims’ compensation; applying for the Confidential Address Program; and referrals.

The Victim Services Program provides services to victims of violent crime. Advocates guide victims through the criminal justice system and ensure victim rights are protected.
