The Harbor Children’s Alliance and Victim Center provides services to child victims of sexual violence and physical abuse or neglect as well as adult victims of domestic violence and stranger and non-stranger sexual assault. Services include a 24 hour-crisis hotline, accompaniment to medical exams/forensic exams, court and law enforcement agencies 24 hours a day, parenting and anger management programs, education and prevention programs in all Calhoun County elementary schools, and a case management program. The Harbor Children’s Alliance and Victim Center serves Calhoun County.

The Family Crisis Center provides services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault and their children. The Crisis Center’s services include accompaniment to the hospital, police interviews, court proceedings, and legal advocacy. Services also include shelter, outreach services and community education, and housing assistance. The Family Crisis Center serves Northern Cameron and Willacy Counties.

The Friendship of Women, Inc. (FOW) assists adults and children who are victims of or have been impacted by family and sexual violence. FOW’s services include emergency shelter, individualized case management and advocacy, child services, support groups, counseling, community outreach and education, supportive housing, a sexual assault program, and a Battering Intervention & Prevention Program (BIPP). FOW serves Cameron County.

Bay Area Turning Point provides services to victims of family violence, sexual assault, and teen dating violence. BATP’s services include a 24-hour crisis hotline, court, police, and hospital accompaniment, assistance filing protective orders, information and referral, education and awareness, support groups, legal advocacy, counseling, professional trainings and workshops, clothing assistance, post shelter follow-up program, housing assistance, case management, and transportation. Bay Area Turning Point, Inc. serves Southeast Harris and Northeast Galveston Counties, which compose the Greater Bay Area and Chambers County in its entirety. When safety is an issue, BATP will assist people from any area.
