SAAFE House provides services to men, women, and children who have been victims of family violence and sexual assault. Though, the shelters are specifically for women and children only. SAAFE House’s services include crisis intervention, legal and medical advocacy, information and referrals, emergency lodging and transportation, support services for secondary victims, safety planning, and education and prevention. SAAFE serves Walker, Polk, and Trinity Counties.

Serving Children and Adults in Need (SCAN) provides services to adults and children who are in need of prevention programs, intervention programs, treatment programs, or other programs such as trauma recovery programs. SCAN serves Cameron, Dimmit, Duval, Frio, Hidalgo, Jim Hogg, Kleberg, LaSalle, Maverick, Real, Starr, Uvalde, Val Verde, Webb, Zapata, and Zavala Counties.

The Crisis Center provides services to victims of family violence, child abuse, and sexual assault. Services include emergency shelter, a 24-hour crisis line, a children’s advocacy center, a sexual assault program to assist victims, a domestic violence program to assist victims, support groups and counseling, legal advocacy, assistance in getting a protective order and accompaniment to law enforcement departments, court hearings, district/county attorney’s office and the hospital.
