Freedom house provides services to adult and child victims of sexual assault or of domestic violence. Services include a 24-hour hotline, crisis counseling, accompaniment to law enforcement, court, and hospital, legal advocacy, assistance with Protective Orders, transportation, child advocacy, education and prevention, individual, group, and play therapy, Crime Victim’s Compensation Assistance, information and inspiration, community referrals, crisis intervention, support, child care, and community education. The Freedom House serves Parker County.

SAAFE House provides services to men, women, and children who have been victims of family violence and sexual assault. Though, the shelters are specifically for women and children only. SAAFE House’s services include crisis intervention, legal and medical advocacy, information and referrals, emergency lodging and transportation, support services for secondary victims, safety planning, and education and prevention. SAAFE serves Walker, Polk, and Trinity Counties.

The Family Crisis Center of the Big Bend serves victims of domestic violence, teen dating violence, victims of crimes, adult survivors of sexual assault, survivors of sexual violence and their family and friends. The Crisis Center has a 24-hour emergency shelter (residential) for adults and children. It provides crisis intervention and advocacy at all three locations, no appointment necessary. Legal services, counseling and support groups, community education and outreach services (to surrounding communities, including, Balmorhea, Marathon, Fort Davis, Marfa, Sanderson, Valentine, Candelaria, and Fort Stockton) are available as well. The Crisis Center serves Brewster, Jeff Davis, Pecos, Presidio, and Terrell Counties.
